April General Conference Choir Adventures

So I was with the Orem institute choir heading to our rehearshal at the conference center, and some ironic things happened, and some cool feelings.
First off, we start heading down the freeway toward the salt lake, we made it to 800 N. ( two exits up) and our bus breaks down. The driver ( Jerry) called for another bus however it would be awhile since the bus was coming from salt lake, where we needed to be at the moment. Meanwhile we wait for the bus and rehearse on the bus, because the rest of the choir is doing the same at the conference center. The bus finally get there and it's funny and ironic that the bus that comes is for a catholic private school, and has that written on the side of the bus.
We finally get there and hurry in. We et our security passes that we will need to get in on April....I feel so important...tehehehe.
Let me tell you when you are in the building with no one in all those seats.... it feels smaller than I thought it would. However the engineering in that building is so AMAZING. What most people don't know is that the director has a microphone hooked up to him. One that he can talk to the choir with. The choir can hear him through some overhead speakers, but the audience cannot hear another the conducter is saying. IT'S CRAZY!!! Also the stant where the choir, apostles and prophet feel so small as well. Which is weird feeling because I have sat on the other side looking at it, like most, and it looks rather big.
What was also really cool, was standing next to the pulpit where the prophet speaks, sitting down where he sits....how crazy!!! I got giddy when this happened. Everyone was taking pictures of themselves by theses things.
Anywho just wanted to share the awesomeness!
